Delivery of the first of seven 44-ton e-trucks for the eGLM project

This 44-ton truck is the first of seven to be provided for the INTERREG electric Green Last Mile project. Meulenberg Transport in Urmond will be the first project partner to start using a 100% electric truck built by FRAMO.

This e-truck will be used to transport paper between Sappi’s mills in Maastricht and Lanaken and the port in Genk (Belgium). Its 340-Kwh e-power battery pack guarantees a range of more than 150 kilometres. The charging infrastructure being realised for this truck consists of several strategically located 43-kW AC charging units, and the battery can also be charged while the paper is being loaded and unloaded. In addition, the truck can currently be charged by means of a Combined Charging System (CCS) using DC rapid charging at a power rating of 150 kW but this will be upgraded next year to 300 kW. The MAN dealer in Venlo will provide the trucks with maintenance services and, in looking to the future, has already installed a brand-new 24-kW DC charger on its premises.

The very first eGLM truck will be on display during the CharIN Testival being hosted at Elaad in Arnhem.
